oro

From nature to nest

oro — Final Touch is a small workshop in Sulaymaniyah. We design and build furniture to order, one piece at a time, from solid timber and stone we finish by hand.

Nothing is mass-produced and nothing leaves until it feels done.

How a piece is made

Six to twelve weeks, most of it spent waiting for glue and oil to cure.

  • The timber comes first

We buy solid walnut, ash and oak in the board and let it settle in the workshop before anything is cut.

  • Shaping is slow

Curves are carved and sanded through progressively finer grits until the surface reads as one continuous line.

  • Oil, not lacquer

Most pieces are finished with hand-rubbed oil, so the grain stays open and the wood keeps ageing with the room.

  • We place it ourselves

Around Sulaymaniyah we deliver the piece by hand, carry it in, and set it where it is going to live.

Beyond the piece

The studio also works past the showroom floor.

  • Bespoke commissions

A piece designed around your room, your proportions and the way you use it — from first sketch to installed.

  • Interior consultation

We help place and pair pieces, ours and yours, so a room holds together instead of just filling up.

  • Restoration & refinishing

Re-oiling, re-veneering and structural repair for solid-wood furniture — our work or something you have lived with for years.

  • Delivery & installation

Crated, delivered and set in place across Kurdistan and Iraq. We take the old piece away if you need us to.

We keep the range narrow so we can know each one well.
